LOG POND DIRECTIONS Logs can be painted orange for newly cut logs. Use silver or gray paint for old logs floating in rivers or ponds. The log bark can be scrapped or sanded to imitate handling and removal from the forests. The ends and absence of bark is where paint should be added. Using our banding cable,(DTD CBA and CBO), log ends can be drilled and strung together for tying up in rivers and ponds. Detailed logs should be laid cut side down in modeled water.
DETAILED LOG DIRECTIONS
Included with your logs
are bark shavings for your log cars or log decks. They are random size so you
may want to chop them smaller. Arrange on flat car and secure with glue.
Shavings can also be used for left over log decks.
You can “orange “up the chips
and logs
to make them look recent or silver them
to
make them look old. Use a flat hobby paint to color the chips making
sure not to over paint the
effect. Bark pieces can also be used on scenery areas
where logs would lay.
Detailed logs can be loaded in bunks for “Live Loads” or glued
for permanent loads or piles in scenery applications.
